Shanxi JAKCOM Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") values your privacy. This Policy applies to the JAKCOM HarmonyOS, Android, and iOS applications distributed through Huawei AppGallery, Google Play, Apple App Store, or another channel authorized by us, together with related services.
Please read this Policy before using the Services. Except for information necessary to provide core functions, you may refuse to provide information or deny permissions. Refusal will affect only the related optional function.
We may process app version, operating-system version, device brand and model, system language, request status, and necessary error information to operate the app, identify compatibility issues, and provide updates. Where required by applicable law or store policy, we provide a prominent first-run notice and request consent.
When you intentionally scan a supported JAKCOM product or use an NFC function, we may process the NFC tag UID, technology type, SAK, NDEF records, and product model to identify the product, log in or associate a device, perform NFC operations selected by you, determine compatibility, and prevent mistakes.
NFC UID, product identifiers, configuration, login time, access tokens, and token expiry may be associated with your device account and stored locally or on our servers. We do not intentionally write full NFC UIDs, card data, keys, or complete APDU data to production logs.
When you create or run shortcuts, we process shortcut names, action types, order, parameters, and content needed for execution. Depending on your selection, a shortcut may invoke phone, SMS, email, maps, media, system settings, calendar, flashlight, or microphone capabilities. Permissions are requested contextually.
When you choose to insert your current location, we obtain approximate or precise coordinates with system authorization to create social-profile content selected by you. Location is optional. Navigation may pass a destination to the system map or a map service selected by you, including Huawei Maps, Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another external map service.
When you choose to insert the current Wi-Fi name, we read the SSID with system authorization. A Wi-Fi password is entered only by you. Review credentials before saving or publicly sharing them.
When you intentionally run a recording shortcut, we request microphone access and process the recording. A recording may remain in the app sandbox and is transmitted only when you choose to upload, share, or synchronize it.
On HarmonyOS, camera permission may be requested when you intentionally run a flashlight shortcut so the app can control the flash. The current Android and iOS clients do not declare camera permission for this function. Image and avatar selection uses system pickers.
When you intentionally create a reminder shortcut, we request calendar read/write access to create the specified reminder. We do not upload unrelated calendar content unless separately disclosed and authorized.
When you select, receive, upload, download, preview, or share content, we may process file name, type, size, content, folder metadata, and upload status. The app uses system pickers and temporary grants instead of broad storage access. Selected content may be copied into the sandbox or uploaded for wireless-drive, avatar, background, social, shortcut, or share-extension functions.
We process titles, text, URLs, media, categories, order, and configurations that you submit. Such data may be linked to your account and stored locally or on our servers for synchronization, display, and sharing.
When you use AI features, prompts, task titles, presets, history, and generated results are sent to our servers to provide the service. Do not submit identity documents, financial credentials, precise location, health information, trade secrets, or other unnecessary sensitive information. AI output may be inaccurate and is for reference only.
When you contact us, we may process contact details, descriptions, screenshots, and necessary diagnostics to respond and resolve issues.
| Permission or capability | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Network | Login, synchronization, cloud files, AI, banners, and updates |
| NFC tag | Identify JAKCOM products and perform NFC operations selected by you |
| Camera (HarmonyOS) | Control the flashlight for a user-triggered shortcut |
| Microphone | Record audio for a user-triggered shortcut |
| Approximate/precise location | Insert current location when requested |
| Wi-Fi information | Insert the current SSID when requested |
| Calendar read/write | Create a calendar reminder when requested |
| Vibration | Provide operation feedback |
| Temporary file access | Process content selected through system pickers or sharing |
You may manage permissions in system settings. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing already completed but may disable the related feature.
We retain information only for the shortest period necessary for the stated purposes, unless law requires otherwise. Data may be stored in an app sandbox, protected credential storage, an app-group directory, or a user-accessible media/document directory. Cloud-related data may be stored on our servers or entrusted cloud infrastructure.
HarmonyOS app backup is disabled. Android and iOS backup behavior may be controlled by the operating system, device settings, and cloud-backup provider. Android recordings may be stored in the public Music/JAKCOM directory. iOS recordings and imported files may be stored in Documents. After deletion, deactivation, or a valid request, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period except where retention is legally necessary. We do not conduct cross-border processing unless required notices and procedures have been completed.
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is necessary when you provide separate consent, when required to provide a feature you selected through cloud storage, maps, AI, or infrastructure providers, when legally required, or when necessary to protect lawful rights.
We may use: Huawei AppGallery, Google Play, and Apple App Store for distribution and updates; Huawei Maps, Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another map app selected by you; Volcengine TOS object storage or other entrusted infrastructure for user-initiated uploads through HTTPS temporary addresses; our servers and entrusted AI processing services only when you submit an AI task; and operating-system NFC, picker, sharing, notification, phone, SMS, email, and browser capabilities.
Current clients do not integrate advertising, cross-app tracking, Firebase, Crashlytics, or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs and do not access advertising identifiers. Open-source UI, networking, and local-database components operate locally and do not send personal information to their authors merely because they are included.
The HarmonyOS client may use NFC, location, Wi-Fi information, microphone, camera flashlight, calendar, system pickers, and a share extension. System app backup is disabled. Updates are directed through Huawei AppGallery.
The Android client may use NFC, location, microphone, notifications, media access, system-settings access, Do Not Disturb access, foreground services, and update-package installation. Legacy storage permissions may be declared for older Android compatibility. Recordings may be stored in public Music/JAKCOM. Android backup may include app data depending on system and user settings. Authorized-channel builds may support in-app update downloads; Google Play builds must follow Google Play update policies.
The iOS client may use Core NFC, while-in-use location, microphone, PHPicker, document picker, local notifications, Universal Links, a share extension, and an App Group. Tokens are primarily stored in Keychain. Necessary device state and temporary share tasks may be stored in the App Group and removed after processing. Recordings and selected files may be stored in Documents and may be affected by file-sharing or backup settings. The app does not request tracking authorization or access advertising identifiers.
We use HTTPS transport, access controls, least privilege, log redaction, token-expiry controls, and security review. JAKCOM core APIs and cloud uploads should use HTTPS, and temporary cloud-upload requests do not include JAKCOM bearer tokens. External URLs opened by you are handled under the browser or external app's rules.
No Internet service is completely secure. If an incident may affect your rights, we will take remedial steps and provide legally required notice or reports.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, copy, correction, supplementation, deletion, withdrawal of consent, account deactivation, restriction or objection, and an explanation of processing.
You may use Clear All Settings or the account-deactivation entry for the current product, or email service@jakcom.com to request access, correction, deletion, or deactivation. We may verify identity and will respond within the legally required period.
Deactivation removes or invalidates the current product's server login relationship and principal local login state. Other products, local recordings, imported or downloaded files, public media, caches, or pending share files may require separate deletion through the app or system file manager. You may email us to request handling of cloud files, AI content, bookmarks, memos, social content, and other server data. Google Play users may also use the account-deletion web entry shown on the store listing; Apple and HarmonyOS users may use the in-app entry or contact email.
The Services are not directed specifically to children. Children under the applicable age should use the Services under guardian supervision and with legally required authorization. If we learn that children's information was processed without valid guardian consent, we will delete it or take other required measures.
We may update this Policy when functions, services, or legal requirements change. For material changes, we will provide prominent notice and obtain consent again where required. The app will retain the policy version and consent status and provide ongoing access to the current Policy.
